Low volume, high quality
Busby Homes is proud to be a low volume builder. This means that our level of attention to detail and the quality of our work is always excellent. We use expert suppliers and trades with whom we have established long-term, trusted relationships. Ours is a genuinely bespoke service and we will work with you to bring about your vision.
As a low volume new homebuilder, we are able to offer a personalised, handcrafted service every time we build a bespoke home in Melbourne. This sets us apart and we’re proud of this distinction.
Many building companies say they offer a custom service, but in reality it’s likely to be a choice from a handful of pre-existing designs, maybe with room for some minor modifications. Busby Homes offers a truly personal design service. Your vision brought to life with the help and guidance of our experts.
You may like the look of a previous Busby Homes project and wish to incorporate some of those elements into your new home, which we are more than happy to accommodate. But ultimately, every design has a unique genesis – you.
Integrity of design
The consultation process is one of the most important stages in the design of your new home. Our design consultant will compile a design brief for your new home by taking you through an extensive requirements questionnaire. This will explore the physical space requirements and the style and feel you prefer. Once completed an initial design and layout will be created by our in-house draftspeople. A formal quotation is provided at this point.
Communication is a crucial part of the ongoing discussions. The more explicit and comprehensive your briefing is at this stage, the better. However, we understand that many clients are new to the building industry. We are on hand to assist, guide and offer advice.
Full project management service
Our team is made up of some of the most experienced and professional people in the building industry. We will project manage the various processes of design and estimating to ensure that you have a smooth transition through planning to building and construction. Again, communication is crucial and you should feel confident and welcome to ask any questions along the way. We keep you updated at every stage.
Inside and out
We will work with you to ensure that every detail of your home will function just as you expect it to and that all your textures, surfaces and colours have a professional style and flow that only a qualified interior designer can give you.
Build with confidence
Busby Homes provide a standard 7-year structural warranty on your home. All our suppliers provide warranties for their building products and appliances. A comprehensive guide explaining this will be supplied to you.
Quality designs built to meet your needs
At Busby Homes, we prioritise your needs above all else. If you have a particular budget in mind, we can develop designs that fit right into your planned spend. We give you full control over what you want and don’t need. We can design you a beautiful custom-built home according to your budget specifications, which we’ll use to guide us throughout the design and build process.
Making the most of nature
Our skilled, trained experts ensure your home will be oriented correctly on the block site to take in views, natural light and landscape designs.
Room to move
You choose the room sizes to suit your needs, with the ability to add, enlarge and reconfigure rooms.
Design elements, inside and out
Attention to all the details is crucial when building a home. You can select your desired internal and external materials to build your dream, and choose important style and interior design elements such as lighting, built in cabinetry and custom designed storage and fitted wardrobes.
Layout with purpose
The layout of rooms can be designed to host your existing furniture such as beds, dining tables and lounge suite, or your planned new pieces. You may work from home and require purpose designed living and work spaces, or perhaps you’ve always longed to have a wine cellar or soundproof studio. Our designers can include almost anything, including hobby rooms, corporate entertaining rooms, offices, safes, alfresco kitchens, guest suites and private retreats.
