Our Process

The first meeting

When we first meet you, you’ll be introduced to your Busby design consultant who will take the time to get to know you and discover what exactly you want in a new home.

First drafts

Once your Busby design consultant has a firm grasp on what your dream home will look like, they will draw up a set of original plans specifically to suit your brief and to make the most of your block. You can make changes to these plans as needed to ensure what we have designed is exactly what you want. You will also be shown through our design centre and we will help you choose your inclusions level.

Draft approval

Once you are happy with the conceptual plans from your designer, these along with specifications and final investment figure will be finalised and presented to you. Once this offer has been approved by you and an initial deposit paid the file is sent to our head office for processing.

Preliminary stage #1

In the first preliminary stage, we organise for all preliminary paperwork to be completed. This includes all site surveys, soil report, council and service information and the completion of the preliminary architectural plans.

Preliminary stage #2

The second preliminary stage will involve complete colour selection with our qualified interior designer to help you choose everything from paint colours to the kitchen sink. We also allow for further changes to your preliminary plans to ensure you really do get your dream home!

Final sign off

As soon as we have all your final, approved inclusions and plans, you sign a HIA New Home Contract that includes specifications and the plans to your dream home. Once this is signed, we obtain your building permit and book your new home in with our construction team.

Walk through & completion

Once construction is complete, we book in to have a final walkthrough to show you your wonderful new dream home. We also organise the building surveyor to complete a final approval and issue a certificate of occupancy. Now all you have to do is move in!
