Classic country design with high ceilings designed and built for clients wanting a country retreat.
This spectacularly charming home was built following the tragic 2009 bushfires. Situated on a sloping site and nestled into the lush surrounding landscape, the vernacular facade is symmetrical featuring gables and full-length Verandah. Poignantly, the fireplace of the original burnt-down house has been retained and even repurposed as part of the outdoor entertaining space.
The centrepiece of the home is the living area running front to back with raked ceilings and high triangular windows that flood the home with light as well as affording great views out to the stepped gardens or the mountains beyond. Internally, the low-maintenance home is warm and welcoming with a wood-burning stove and a variety of spaces from formal living to cosy nook, in addition to four tranquil bedrooms.
